Step 1: Photograph Your Clothes

Take a photo of any clothing item using your camera, or pick an image from your photo library. Lay the garment flat or photograph it on a hanger — the AI handles both. You can also use wrdb's template gallery to get started immediately with placeholder items.

Step 2: AI Removes the Background

wrdb automatically removes the background from every clothing photo using PhotoRoom API integration. The result: a clean, consistent image of the garment on a plain background. No manual editing, no cutout tools, no fuss. Every item in your digital wardrobe looks organized and professional.

Step 3: AI Analyzes and Categorizes

GPT-4V examines your garment photo and extracts comprehensive metadata:

• Category — tops, bottoms, shoes, accessories, outerwear, dresses, activewear, formal, or sleepwear
• Color — primary and secondary colors identified
• Material — cotton, denim, wool, silk, polyester, leather, and more
• Style — casual, formal, streetwear, preppy, minimalist, etc.
• Pattern — solid, striped, plaid, floral, graphic, etc.
• Brand — recognized when visible
• Season — spring/summer, fall/winter, or all-season
• Occasion — work, casual, evening, athletic, etc.

All of this happens from a single photo. No dropdown menus, no manual tagging.

With your wardrobe digitized, the on-device AI engine takes over. Using CoreML CLIP embeddings (512-dimension vectors for each garment), wrdb scores outfit combinations across five dimensions:

The AI evaluates up to 500 combinations per session and presents the best matches. All processing happens on your iPhone — no cloud required.
